Stage 3 Baby Food: Quick and easy, Chicken Cheesy Pasta

Chicken Cheesy Pasta
We are thinking to add some quick and yummy food to our dearest lil’ customer’s menu. Yes, mommy is the chef and her little one is the customer and today is Pasta Day.
Before you start introducing pasta to your baby, you have to be concerned that normal Pasta is made out of Wheat, and it contains “Gluten” like many other grains. Many of you would be aware of the rule “Gluten Free Food First Year”, the wise mom avoids serving wheat pasta during her baby’s first year as some babies can be gluten intolerant during this stage. The good news is you can still feed pasta to your baby even during their first 12 months.
Here is a little golden tip you will love. There is wheat free pasta made from Rice and Quinoa. Many of them come in a variety of lovely pasta shapes. We personally recommend Tinkyada Rice Pasta for its great taste and texture. Even mommy might not notice the difference.
Okay, now let’s jump into the delicious details.
Ingredients
120g wheat free pasta
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/3 cup of unsalted minced chicken (We suggest using organic chicken as a healthier alternative)
40g mozzarella or cream cheese.
60g soft-cooked carrots finely chopped to 3mm in size.
1/3 of teaspoon of dried or fresh basil leaves (Optional)
Method:
Cook the pasta in boiling water with 1 teaspoon of cooking oil or follow the directions on the package.
Heat the pan with olive oil. Cook the minced chicken until the pink bits are gone. Add the mozzarella cheese, pasta and basil and heat them together for another 5 more minutes.
Optional
Sprinkle a tiny amount of Parmesan cheese.
Yummm………mmmy Pasta is ready!!
