Lentils Recipe
Carrot, Rice and Lentils Puree
1/5 cup of soaked red lentils
1/5 cup of soaked rice (Brown or white rice)
50 g of carrot
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 45 mins
Ready in: 50 – 60 mins
Place the soaked lentils and water in a saucepan, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes, check occasionally to see if you need to add more water. Grind the soaked rice in a blender or grinder until it becomes a powdery form. Steam the carrot for about 10 minutes and puree in your baby food processor. When the Lentils are ready, put the rice you just grinded in a saucepan. Simmer for another 10 minutes to cook the rice and lentils together, add water if needed. Add the carrot puree a minute or 2 before you finish.
Tips: Use a microwave for a quicker alternative.
